DevOps usually focuses on the code to production pipeline, from when a developer commits the code to the point when that code in deployed to the production environment. Business value, however doesn’t start at code commit, and doesn’t end at deployment.
In this workshop we’ll discuss how to extend the concept of DevOps to cover a larger continuous delivery pipeline which covers the entire concept to cash value stream.
We’ll discuss the dimension of continuous exploration and the role of defining the right hypotheses and minimal viable products, the continuous integration dimension of coding, building and integrating systems and solutions, the continuous deployment dimension, of deploying to production, including dark launches and validation on production, and finally the release dimension of how to release value to customers and validate the hypotheses we started and learn if we need to pivot or preserver.
While covering these four dimension you will be able to assess yourself using a DevOps health radar, that you will get, and discover where your organization’s strength and weaknesses are. We will assess 4 sub dimensions in each dimensions, as well as competencies, which can help you improve in each area.
