Three Things I Learned Since Becoming an RTE

The Release Train Engineer (RTE) role is arguably the most strategic role in the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®), and is easily the most difficult transition for traditionally trained program leaders.

In this session, we will lean into the learnings of using SAFe for development and non-development teams and will explore three important patterns to recognize and use in order to become an effective and successful RTE.

Learning Objectives and Key Takeaways:

  • Brainstorm how to address release quality issues with grace, humility, and honesty by creating a tactical, blame free space for teams to reflect and improve.
  • Learn how to identify and leverage bottlenecks in your delivery pipeline.
  • Push your limits of creativity and inspiration by starting your RTE+SM Community of Practice to drive innovation, improvements and FUN for your Agile Release Train.
